Aker Solutions' Finance - Project Controlling based in Port Klang PKFZ is responsible to manage and monitor project cost controlling financially / commercially. The team consists of 10 highly experienced Project Controllers. We are now looking for dynamic and result-oriented individual who can strengthen our team.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Project Controller is responsible to provide functional support to the project team. He/she is to support in the management and monitoring of projects both financially and commercially. Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • To provide support to functional departments within the company which include the production and interpretation of timely and accurate financial results, budget, forecast and Project Performance Report

  • To be able to provide support to the Project Team when it comes to financials in correlation to upsides/downsides/risks

  • Scope management – to ensure all technical changes are reflected in the cost estimates, assist and support projects change management process (Variation Orders)

  • To prepare of monthly reports, monthly forecasts and annual budgets correlated to Projects, monitor costs and control costs, financial progress, estimate to complete

  • To prepare and monitor Project Cost Report (PPR) with information of ‘as sold’, actual, forecast, monthly phasing costing, financial progress and estimate to complete for Project Manager (PM) review

  • To provide man-hours variance analysis base on monthly Manpower Planning Projections (MPP) provide by Project Planner and challenge the Project Manager on the accurate of the MPP in case of projected man-hours overrun or under estimate

  • Give input to budgets and forecasts, follow up performance of financial control group versus budgets and Identification of deviations from budgets and analyze causes and consequences

  • To prepare and monitor the Project cash flow with accordance of requirements and contract requirements, especially for Project costs payments to major suppliers

  • Ensure proper hedging of contract and procurement activities
  • To prepare customer invoice, while monitor and control invoice payment

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  • Minimum a professional Qualification/Degree in Finance or Business Administration

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to communicate financial material effectively to non-financial managers

  • Highly developed cross-functional communication and reporting skills

  • Meticulous to detail, reliable, and to deliver within deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to develop financial knowledge and commercial awareness throughout the Project
