Aker Solutions based in St. John's, NL, provides front end studies, engineering, asset integrity management, construction, procurement and project management for upstream oil and gas facilities. We need an experienced project engineer with strong project management and coordination skills to strengthen our multi-discipline onshore engineering team.
Direct and coordinate the activities of engineering disciplines for a defined scope, acting as the schedule and budget holder.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be required to provide the following project co-ordination and support.
- Liaise with client throughout the project life.
Stewardship of the project budget and schedule.
Ensure scope of work is clearly defined for all parties.
Ensure all inspections are planned and executed within the anticipated schedule.
Ensure technical and commercial close-out is completed in a timely and thorough fashion.
Mentor junior and intermediate personnel.
Be able to interface effectively within the Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Understanding of project controls and change management.
