Aker Solutions' Asset Integrity Management (AIM) group based in Aberdeen requires a Graduate Data Management & Analytics Engineer to join our team in support of our continued regional and international growth

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To provide system programming support to the AIM Data Management & Analytics group in Aberdeen

  • Specific focus on the development of software for building 3D models of pipework and pressure vessels and modelling their mechanical behaviour against international design standards

  • Ensure that all Quality Management Systems are followed

  • Implementation and correct use of all Aker Solutions processes and procedures

  • Adherence to control systems to ensure adherence to schedule, budget and quality requirements

  • Part of integrated team that turns AIM visions and values into actions

  • Participate in an environment that encourages development, growth and succession for all personnel via myPerformance

  • Responsible for the delivery of internal and external training of personnel when assigned including specific system training on Integri-Tech

  • Initially responsible for developing and maintaining systems – both GUI application and web-based applications

  • Review and recommend new technologies, which support the department and their customers, and provide business benefit

  • Carry out software development to agreed and predefined specifications, timescales and estimates

  • Carry out program testing and debugging

  • Produce system documentation

  • Creation of requirements and technical specifications

  • Assist with development of new AIM Systems and Technologies in support of BU growth/requirements

  • Provide support in use of Aker Solutions AIM software, for all users

  • Implement AIM systems at client sites in conjunction with assigned AIM Integrity Engineers

  • Analysis of client data in AIM systems

  • Part of development team for ongoing software product improvements

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  • Degree level

  • Computing related skills

  • Awareness of all relevant industry developments

  • Interest in mathematical modelling and simulation of physical systems

  • Degree in Computing / Mathematics / Physics / Engineering

  • C++ (or other object oriented language) experience

  • OpenGL / DirectX experience advantageous
