The cost estimate utilises available information in different study stages from factor estimates in early screening phases to detail estimates based on specific weight/quantity estimates, procurement budget quotes and using top down norms for the main elements in a FEED estimate.
The cost estimating-norms are based on Aker Solutions' large experience database together with current experience from our live projects. The weight estimating methodology is based on utilising experience and as-built data from past projects grouped into functional areas and disciplines together with process information, master equipment list and layout drawings.
