Cyclonic inlet device

Aker Solutions' patented inlet gas liquid cyclone, compact cyclone inlet device G-Sep™ CCI, reduces the tendency of wellstream fluids to foam, thereby allowing the throughput of primary separation vessels to be increased. This brings environment benefits and minimises the requirement to purchase, transport and store antifoam chemicals.

The G-Sep™ CCI is characterised by its unique tangential inlet ports, utilising the existing inlet momentum to set up immediate spin. Gas and liquid are immediately separated by the applied g-forces. A patented 'gas blockage device' in the lower part of the cyclone helps prevent the entrance of gas into the liquid outlet of the cyclone.

The number of cyclone bodies in one inlet device may vary depending on type of separator (two or three phase) and the operating conditions.
