Design of Onshore Receiving and Processing Facilities

Onshore receiving and processing facilities import, store, process and export oil and natural gas. Aker Solutions designs new onshore facilities, as well as modify existing ones with upgrades, increased capacity, and phasing in of new fields. We also help our customers determine operating windows, improve operating performance and reduce maintenance.

Global experience, expertise and systems allow us to support any project from feasibility studies and conceptual engineering through front end engineering design (FEED), detail engineering, procurement assistance, field engineering and specialist services, construction management, commissioning and on to modifications, maintenance and operations for onshore oil and gas projects worldwide.

Our multi-disciplinary skill sets, proficiency with 3D design software, extensive engineering database and in-depth knowledge of process technologies put us in a unique position to execute complex projects.

Related Products and Services

Petrochemical Industry

Processes raw materials (hydrocarbons and other inorganics) into basic chemicals or "commodity chemicals" including polymers, bulk petrochemicals and intermediates, other derivatives and basic industrial chemicals and inorganic chemicals. These products serve as building blocks for a wide range of materials such as solvents, detergents, adhesives, polymers and are used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, paints and tires. Our portfolio of experience includes purified terepthalic acid (PTA), methanol, polyolefins, industrial alcohol and carbon black.

Refinery Sector

Processes crudes and distillates into value added products such as petroleum, naphtha, gasoline, diesel, asphalt base, heating oil, kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas that meet new emission norms. Aker Solutions has a solid track record in the refining sector and extensive greenfield and brownfield engineering experience from refinery projects, covering the entire spectrum of refining operations. Our experience includes engineering of highly corrosive services, high pressure, high temperatures and complex systems.

Onshore Oil and Gas Processing Plants

Receives oil and gas for processing and further export, or clean impurities and non-methane hydrocarbons from raw natural gas so it can be piped for use in private homes and industries.
