Aker Solutions Quality and Continuous Improvement (QCI) based in Port Klang, is setting up own NDT capabilities to efficiently support manufacturing process mainly on Subsea equipments.
We are looking for NDT technicians candidate preferably within same industry experience to help us nurturing the new capability with minimal effort. We have 6 positions open to cater few NDT techniques that covers Overlay UT, MPI, DPI and RI.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Reporting to the Internal Coordinator. The Level II NDT technicians are required to:
■ Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
■ Select, calibrate & operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials.
■ Examine structures, Welds & Materials using non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
■ Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results
■ Maintain log sheet for equipment calibration.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
■ Qualification: Diploma / Graduation in science or equivalent
■ Experience: Should have minimum 5 years’ of experience in UT / RI / MT / PT testing of materials/pressure vessels/welds/Overlay.
■ Certifications: ISO 9712 Level II or equivalent Independent Certification Body in method RI, UT Full Cert, MT & PT.
■ NDT Personnel shall be certified in pre-and in-service inspection, Forging & wrought product and weld sector ( Sector 2 and sector 6 )
■ Experience in performing NDT (UT&DPI) of material and weld in auste
■ Knowledgeable in the interpretation and application of relevant international codes and standards including API (5L, 6A, 17D, etc.), ASME (Sec. IX, Sec. VIII, etc.), ASTM, AWS (D1.1, D1.6, etc.), BS-EN, DNV (F101, C401), NORSOK (M101, M601) and ISO (15614, 15156, 13628, etc.).
