Aker Solutions provides riser solutions for any water depth and any environmental conditions.
Subsea risers are developed for transportation of products from the seafloor to production and drilling facilities at the sea surface, as well as from the facility to the seafloor. Whether serving as production or import-export vehicles, risers are the connection between the subsea field developments and drilling and production facilities. Risers can be either rigid or flexible or a combination, namely a hybrid riser system.
We offer the complete design, procurement and manufacture of high pressure drilling and production riser systems and open-water workover riser systems, with riser tensioning system and handling tools, and integration of third party equipment.
We know exactly what is needed to design and optimize riser solutions. Our broad experience in design, maintenance and modification of production platforms together with complete subsea solutions provides us with a unique insight into riser design and integration requirements. We combine this with in-house capabilities throughout the value chain, from advanced dynamic analysis, riser system and component design to manufacturing experience, maintenance and inspection engineering.
The Aker Solutions riserLOCK™ 7.10 is a remotely operated workover riser with full NACE compliance for sour service operations and market leading fatigue capacity. Allowing workover tools access to the well, the riser provides a conduit between the surface and the subsea equipment, ensuring full pressure and mechanical integrity during all operations.
Services and solutions we provide include: technical integrity analysis and studies; riser integrity management; advanced inspection and monitoring technology; in-service inspection and corrosion management; and data management, systems and tools.
We design custom made drilling, completion and production risers for tension leg platforms, SPAR, deep draft semi and Jack-up production platforms.
We design integrated riser systems for our own floater solutions. They are applicable for newbuild or tie-back of new fields to existing platforms, as well as special solutions such as water intake risers for FLNG.
