The position will be part of the 24-month Subsea Graduate Engineering Programme that involves structured rotational learning, on-the-job training, technical assignments and manufacturing exposure within Aker Solutions Malaysia.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
To carry out design layouts, engineering calculations whilst ensuring all HSE requirements are met
To review vendor documents, structural & foundation drawings, feasibility studies
To ensure all work complies with the necessary corporate, departmental, legislative, industry standards and procedures
Understand project scope of work and participate in receipt and analysis of work requirements
To apply sound engineering practices, skills, experience to resolve common and novel technical problems
To understand and prepare functional engineering documentation, including client and supplier documentation on projects

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Master or Bachelor degree in mechanical / structural / naval architectural / electrical /instrumentation / mechatronics / automation engineering with first class honours
IT literate – Competent with Microsoft packages and other mathematical, design and drafting tools such as MathCad, AutoCAD etc
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong sense of responsibility
Strong interest and passion to grow and excel in energy sector
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
