Our team in London provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments.

What will you be doing?

  • Specification, evaluation and implementation of noise control and acoustic requirements in design that is in accordance with required noise and acoustics legislation
  • Specification and follow-up of noise emitting equipment packages
  • Calculation and prediction of area noise levels using relevant software (CADNA R is our primary tool)
  • Specification and evaluation of sound insulation and sound absorption requirements for building elements
  • Evaluation and calculation of public address (PA) systems
  • Troubleshooting and measurement on existing fields, as required
  • Interface and cooperation with other project team members, subcontractors/vendors and client personnel, as necessary
  • Travel on shorter assignments may be expected.

We think you should have:

Engineering degree, preferably acoustics / physics related or IOA Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control

Corporate member of Institute of Acoustics (MIOA)

Relevant experience within noise control engineering from the Oil & Energy, Marine or other relevant industry

Strong understanding of project execution

Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to explain rather complicated subjects to non-specialist clients and associates

Self-motivated and proactive - Solution and delivery orientated

Teamwork skills with the ability to work in an international environment

A drive for developing your expertise

Ability to deliver results and exceed customer expectations

A technical and analytical mindset combined with commercial awareness
