Our office at Stord is now looking for a NDT Engineer Level 3 to help us in our mission to #Powerthechange.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop, implement, and maintain NDT governing documents.
  • Responsible for following up with apprentices in the NDT discipline.
  • Follow up and guide NDT Technicians in the field with regards to quality and competence.
  • Oversee the performance and documentation of annual authorization of NDT certificates, as well as record annual eye tests for relevant inspection personnel.
  • Approve or reject welding or surface characteristics as defined in all NDT methods for which you are certified.
  • Review and comment on NDT procedures from subcontractors in projects.
  • Assist the Quality department as a specialist auditor and carry out internal and external verifications.
  • Perform NDT in projects as needed to maintain your Level 3 certification.
  • Stay updated on new NDT methods and equipment, actively seeking new knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a real commitment to HSSE performance by taking personal ownership of Aker Solutions' values and the zero-incident philosophy.

We think you should have:

  • Certification according to NS-EN 473 / NS-ISO 9712, Level 3.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the fabrication and inspection of welded products.
  • A strong focus on quality awareness and continual improvement of work processes, products, and personal development.
  • Strong cooperation and communication skills.
  • Good general knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Proficiency in discipline-related applications and software.
  • Fluent English, both written and verbal.
