To support our journey, we are looking for Weight Engineers to join the Marine Structures and Riser group.

You will be part of a team that specializes in extending the operational life of offshore structures through advanced engineering solutions. Our focus is on ensuring the structural integrity and safety of offshore installations, utilizing precise weight management and control alongside other cutting-edge techniques.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Establish and maintain Weight Databases, Weight Report procedures, and do Weight Control for offshore installations, both fixed and floating structures.
  • Execute weight control in modification projects and produce weight reports according to contract requirements.
  • Proactively collect weight information from projects and maintenance phases through various sources.
  • Provide weight input for cost estimating in Concept Study phase.
  • Extract loads from weight reports as input to global structural analyses.
  • Perform quality assurance on weight databases through relevant tools, documentation, and occasional offshore surveys.
  • Act as a liaison between workshop and discipline input regarding installed weights.
  • Seek innovative ways to increase effectiveness in weight control processes.
  • Depending on your background, competence and interest, you may also perform structural reanalysis and stability calculations.

We think you should have:

  • Technical education, BSc in civil/marine or mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheet
  • Preferably two years' experience (newly graduates will also be considered)
  • Willingness to meet offshore mobilization requirements as needed
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English to interact effectively with various project stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
