Do you want to solve global energy challenges for future generations?

Join Entr: Where your ideas and insights create lasting impact

Entr, the dedicated consultancy arm of Aker Solutions, is shaping the future of energy. We don't just adapt to change – we drive it, transforming bold ideas into ground-breaking insights and delivering impactful solutions that shape the energy landscape.

Our expertise spans the entire energy spectrum, from optimizing existing oil and gas assets to pioneering renewable technologies. We deliver expert consultancy services that combine our deep technical mastery with early-phase advisory to shape the future of sustainable energy.

We recognize the vital role of oil and gas in today's energy mix and are committed to improving their sustainability. At the same time, we're advancing renewable and low-carbon solutions, balancing current energy security with our vision for a cleaner future.

To support our journey, we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Marine Structures and Riser group.

You will be part of a team that specializes in extending the operational life of offshore structures through advanced engineering solutions. As part of this team, you will conduct cutting-edge structural and hydrodynamic analyses, ensuring the safety and reliability of assets well beyond their original design life.

What will you be doing?

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Perform linear and non-linear structural analyses for fixed and floating offshore marine structures.
  • Analyze offshore structures at both local and global levels.
  • Work on concept studies and execute maintenance and modification projects.
  • Collaborate with experts from various disciplines on complex energy challenges.
  • Take on diverse responsibilities, including potential offshore/site surveys.
  • Design and calculate modifications, upgrades, and lifetime extensions for structures.
  • Maintain and refine structural analysis models and weight databases for major oil companies.

We think you should have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Marine Technology (BSc/MSc or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and adapt to changes
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English (both verbal and written)
  • Experience with software such as Sesam package, USFOS, or Abaqus
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and service
  • Curiosity and openness to learning across different areas of expertise.
