The Life Cycle segment takes care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production, Life Cycle ensure safe operations. Our Electrical department in Bergen are now looking for Senior Electrical Engineer to help us in our mission to #powerthechange.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled team of engineers and follow up Electrical Procurement Packages with main tasks being the following;

  • Co-ordination with suppliers and review of documents and drawings
  • Engineering inputs to job packages
  • As-builts of supplier drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore
  • Responsible for electrical system engineering for LV consumers and switchboards
  • Responsible for electrical calculations eg; short circuit calculations
  • Report to Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager all matters of importance
  • Responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects
  • Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests
  • Perform estimation work and plan activities
  • Design development and detail engineering within electrical systems/ equipment

In addition, you might get the opportunity to mentor younger engineers, as well as general electrical engineering, system engineering, automation and control engineering(EDS/PMS), layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, technical procurement activities related to mechanical packages (as PRD), preparation of MTO`s and requisitions, preparation of installation job-cards, input to other disciplines, coordination and cooperation with suppliers and client, and offshore surveys.

We think you should have:

  • You probably have a bachelor's or masters degree in electrical engineering
  • If you have some years experience from the energy industry, you have a good background to succeed in this role
  • Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements, and experience in supplier co-ordination and follow-up
  • Experience in as-builts of tags and drawings is an advantage
  • Good communication skills is crucial to become our new team member
  • Detailed knowledge of NORSOK E-001 and relevant IEC norms is an advantage
  • Good Norwegian and English language skills is important to our clients, and therefore to us
