As part of a strategic alliance, we are also working on a large digitalization project as part of the development of the Hugin oil and gas field offshore Norway, whilst pioneering new digital solutions to make operations safer and more efficient. 

The Structure, Architecture and Maintenance team in now looking for a Young Professional Structural Engineer to join them in Fornebu office.

What will you be doing?

As member of our structural team in the Engineering organization, you will participate in the expansion from Oil & Gas into the renewables project world.

If you are a graduate 2025, you will be a part of Aker Solutions’ graduate program 2025. This will give you the opportunity to build a professional network, meet fellow graduates from various locations, and visit our headquarters as well as one of our yards.

You will:

  • Perform structural engineering within defined methods, guidelines and procedures, on both renewables and oil & gas projects
  • Provide input to the structural reports as well as for the drawings for the detailed design phase
  • Update and revise the related documents and drawings on time according to construction requirements
  • Have the ability to manage and plan own work scope

We think you should have:

If you are Graduate, we require:

  • BSc/MSc degree within structural or civil engineering, or similar
  • Being a open-minded team player, willing to learn and grow professionally

If you are coming with an experience, the following is preferred:

  • 1 -3 years of relevant experience
  • BSc/ MSc degree within structural or civil engineering, or similar
  • Engineering experience in the onshore/offshore industry
  • Good working knowledge and experience of structural analysis software / tools such as STAADPro and SESAM
  • Knowledge of non-linear software, such as Abaqus is an advantage
  • Front End, FEED and EPC experience
  • Experience of multiple office execution/workshare is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of design software such as E3D, Navisworks and Autocad
  • Good team player, eager to learn and grow professionally
