Info
Do you want to play a role in solving global energy challenges for future generations?
At Aker Solutions we are committed to helping the energy industry and broader society #PowerTheChange towards a low-carbon future. We are changemakers and problem solvers with more than 180 years of experience. Our ambitions are high. By 2030, renewables and low-carbon solutions for oil and gas will make up two-thirds of our business.
Have you ever wondered what all the bits and pieces that make up an offshore wind converter station, oil & gas topside or carbon capture plant are, and how many man-hours it will take to build these projects? Do you have fabrication experience (practical work) or have worked as an engineer? Do you enjoy working with numbers and solving problems? If you answered yes to these questions, then you are a fit for our Quantity Management team as a Quantity Engineer within Electrical, Instrument, and Telecom. This position can be located at our yards in Stord or Egersund, or at our headquarters in Fornebu.
This is an opportunity for you to utilize your existing experience in engineering or fabrication while enabling you to learn more about the intersection between engineering, fabrication and commercial / project management. Whether you're early in your career or a seasoned professional, this opportunity is for you.

The department is responsible for the fabrication norms and calculation of fabrication man-hours based on identified quantities (kg, m, m2 etc.) for our varied projects. We also collect experience data to strengthen Aker Solutions’ competitiveness in future jobs.
Our team consists of a mix of personnel with engineering and fabrication backgrounds. Typically, you will specialize in work with quantities and norms within certain disciplines such as Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Electro/Instrument/Telecom or Surface (Insulation and Paint). Opportunities exist to become a specialist in one trade or to develop a wide-ranging skill set, with positions available in both tendering and project execution.
