We are looking for talents who want to pursue a Summer Internship position within Procurement, Logistic and Material Management at Aker Solutions.

The department handles direct procurement and logistics activities for projects in the segments New Build and New Energies. Typical projects include topsides, floaters, carbon capture and storage facilities, wind turbine foundations and offshore converter stations for wind turbine parks.

This position is located at Fornebu, and the start date will be June 2025.

What will you be doing?

This is a summer intern role for candidates with limited to no relevant experience. As our new Summer Intern, you will be assigned to less complex work scopes and have a unique opportunity to learn and develop under extensive guidance and training. You will:

  • Participate in diverse projects for Project Procurement
  • Perform all procurement activities according to Aker Solutions’ Policy for Supply Chain
  • Contribute to successful execution of the Procurement Process for assigned scope.
  • Develop a commercial awareness related to assigned work scope
  • Report and contribute to managing contract risks
  • Play a part in ensuring contract cost, schedule and manpower are within budgets and baselines
  • Help ensuring all relevant systems are updated according to project requirements
  • Represent the procurement team towards the supplier market.
  • Present contract status in reports and meetings
  • Keep the contract and correspondence files updated
  • Take on varied tasks to develop a broader professional understanding

We think you should have:

  • Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Economics and Business Administration, Industrial Economics. Additional education in areas such as Information Technology, Technical and Law are also relevant.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Good commercial skills and the ability to understand customer needs
  • A curious mindset, with an eagerness to learn and take on more tasks/responsibilities
  • A team-player attitude, with a proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented mindset, and strong work ethics.
  • The interns need to be located in the city where the internship takes place during its entire duration.
