Aker Solutions' Maintenance department based in Mobile, Alabama is responsible for manufacturing products for the oil and gas markets globally. We need a talented coordinator/planner who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Establishes schedule requirements from production master schedule.

  2. Assists the planning activity in support of overall production and equipment maintenance scheduling.

  3. Prepares detailed project and maintenance schedules as required.

  4. Assists in the preparation of reports.

  5. Initiates and maintains equipment parts inventory including critical spares and follow up to ensure on time delivery.

  6. Processes material requirements through MRP (Material Requisition Planning), writes MWO’s (Maintenance Work Orders) and other routine paperwork in support of the overall production or maintenance activity required.

  7. Maintains facility and maintenance activities as it pertains to CMMS, Documentation and Certifications.

  8. Initiate and develop capex expenditures where applicable.

  9. Write and maintain with the help of the maintenance team Preventative maintenance and Predictive maintenance activities as it pertains to the facility and equipment needs.

  10. Assist in the change over from COGZ Maintenance System to SAP Maintenance Module. Create Function Location, BOM’s and Task Lists in SAP.

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  1. Must be familiar with blueprints and other engineering documents.

  2. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures.

  3. Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) would be a plus but is not required.

  4. Ability to analyze situations and react in a timely manner is necessary.

  5. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.

  6. SAP and MS Office with Advanced Excel required. Proficient in Microsoft Project and Primavera preferred.
