Aker Solutions' Security Technology team, based in Fornebu, is part of the Security section (HSSE) and is responsible for all Corporate Security Systems deliveries to Aker Solutions worldwide, in addition to services to Aker Solutions` customers. Our function is driven by relentless pursuit of customer focus, standardization, innovation and delivering value to the businesses.

We are now looking for a Security Technology Manager to work with and lead teams responsible for technical security systems and support systems. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that service requirements are implemented and complied with as agreed.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Lead the Security Technology Team of 5 people and be responsible for deliveries to the organisation and customers
  • Responsible for the operation, development and implementation of all Corporate Technical Security Systems according to agreed functional strategy
  • Manage supplier and customer relations, monitor performance of deliveries in day-to-day operations, initiate and follow up development activities, improvements and oversee onboarding of new customers
  • Develop relationships with industry peers and engage in benchmarking opportunities/exercises to understand changes in the industry
  • Oversee the installation, modification, and decommissioning of security equipment
  • Deliver according to agreed contracts and service levels
  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance and development of the function’s framework, in addition to analysing and strengthening these processes and procedures
  • Effectively drive interaction with internal and external customers to determine causes and identify solutions to security system issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise, advice and solutions that mitigate security risks
  • Focal point for IT Service provider’s Service Delivery Manager
  • Perform other duties and / or conduct special projects, as directed
  • Attend meetings, conferences and workshops related to security technology to remain abreast of industry standards

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Security or other relevant discipline (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
  • 5-10 years’ experience working with security/technical security solutions and management experience from the customer and/or supplier side
  • Project management experience, preferably certified in PRINCE2 or similar
  • Solid practical management experience gained from a background in security and/or IT
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Structured and analytical with strong diplomacy skills and knowledge of sensitivity protocol
  • Extensive technical security and IT knowledge
  • Ability to define, communicate and execute security strategy in a highly operational environment
  • Commercial mind-set with strong customer focus
  • Experience in working effectively in multi-disciplinary matrix organisations, seeking answers, advice and support, as needed
