The Life Cycle segment takes care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production, Life Cycle ensure safe operations. Our objective is to be a leading supplier of low carbon solutions and electrification projects. We focus on optimizing field life solutions, driven by decarbonization and environmentally sound offerings.

Our department in Stavanger  is now looking for a Young Proffesionals Material Engineer  to help us in our mission to #powerthechange.  

What will you be doing?

  • If you are a graduate 2025, you will be a part of Aker Solutions graduate program 2025. This will give you the opportunity to build a professional network, meet fellow graduates from various locations, and visit our headquarters as well as one of our yards.”
  • You will be involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller Front End Studies to Major Modification Projects and various Specialist Services
  • Participate in offshore and/or onshore electrification, modification and maintenance projects
  • Example of activities are:
  • Perform material selections, define surface protection and evaluate insulation alternatives in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and fabrication & installation activities
  • Monitor equipment or material manufacturers
  • Ensure that project and vendor deliveries are performed according to contract requirements
  • Visit project sites and sub suppliers/subcontractors and perform necessary QA activities
  • Selection and calculation of acctivities, method development, etc.

We think you should have:

  • You have recently graduated, or you are about to graduate from your final year of studies (MSc) within relevant area (Metallurgy, Material Technology, Welding, Corrosion, Surface Preparation and Coatings)
  • You have a high ability to learn and great interest for new technology and digitalization
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
