At Aker Solutions we are committed to helping the energy industry and broader society #PowerTheChange towards a low-carbon future. We are changemakers and problem solvers with more than 180 years of experience. Our ambitions are high. By 2030, renewables and low-carbon solutions for oil and gas will make up two-thirds of our business. Do you want to be a part of driving the transition?

Our Tax department in Fornebu is now looking for Senior Manager Tax.

The Group Tax function in Aker Solutions is part of the CFO organization and is responsible for providing strategic tax advice to Aker Solutions’ business segments, management, and support functions. It promotes tax policies, increases tax awareness and compliance, and manages tax risk. Group Tax monitors tax regulatory developments, assesses their impact, plans for implementation within Aker Solutions, and engages with tax policymakers. The members of the Group Tax function collaborate closely with all segments within the Aker Solutions organization. The Senior Tax Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Group Tax.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide strategic tax advice in relation to funding and repatriation of profits from subsidiaries.
  • Manage inquiries and dialogue with tax authorities.
  • Review and assist in the preparation and filing of Norwegian tax returns and Pillar 2 tax returns.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Aker Solutions' tax procedures and policies.
  • Conduct tax training for relevant members of Aker Solutions' organization to increase tax awareness.

We think you should have:

  • Master’s degree in Law.
  • Relevant experience of 5-10 years from a law firm, tax consultancy firm, multinational group, or tax administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of Norwegian and international tax laws and regulations, double tax treaties, and EU/OECD tax regulations and guidelines. Familiarity with Pillar 2 and transfer pricing is considered advantageous.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, as well as the funding and repatriation of profits from subsidiaries.
  • Possessing analytical skills and the ability to translate complex issues into concrete advice and actions, with an emphasis on quality, the capability to question and challenge and a focus on solutions.
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both oral and written.

More reasons to work with us:

  • Professional development and excellent career opportunities with the chance to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from oil and gas, renewables (carbon capture, hydrogen, and offshore wind) to aqua culture
  • Competitive pay and benefits with excellent pension and insurance schemes as well as private health services provided by Aker Care
  • A healthy work-life balance with flexible working conditions throughout the different phases of your life journey
  • Fantastic office building with onsite canteen and access to welfare club with free gym facilities, sports equipment hire and cabins for rent in the mountains and by the sea
