Our Asset Integrity Management Team in Fort McMurray, AB is kicking off our recruitment efforts for API Inservice Inspectors for the 2025 Spring Turnaround Window, with an expected timeline of April – May 2025.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing inspection activities on plant equipment, primarily pressure vessels and piping, as outlined in the inspection test plan
  • Producing detailed reports of inspections, clearly identifying the scope and any defects or inconsistencies found
  • Preparing and maintaining all inspection records and procedures in accordance with the client’s inspection program
  • Raising identified deficiencies requiring additional inspection or repair within the turnaround window immediately
  • Complying with all client and regulatory codes, standards, and procedures in the execution of work
  • Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with HSSE policies and industry standards

We think you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an In-Service Inspector in Refinery, Upgrader, Utilities or Bitumen Production Unit with an in-depth knowledge of ABSA requirements for In-Service Equipment, or an equivalent combination of certification and experience.
  • Required Certifications: API 510 / 570 visual inspection certification
  • Asset Certifications: API 653, ABSA Inservice Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector (IBPV) , ABSA Inservice Pressure Vessel Inspector (IPV) Pressure, Equipment Safety Legislation(PESL) certification, CWB II
  • Current certifications for all mandatory safety training, or be willing to complete at own expense
  • Must meet qualifications required for site access including Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or possess valid work permit)
  • Required to be fit for work, including physical ability to work at heights
