The Structural & Marine Department in Stord is working with structural fabrication engineering and marine design engineering. Our team consists of 50 experienced structural Engineers covering design and fabrication engineering for offshore and onshore installations. The team is also involved in studies and tenders.Our intention is to strengthen the structure discipline for participation in Aker Solutions major projects, nationally and internationally, and we are now looking for several Structural Fabrication Engineers to help us succeed in our mission to #powerthechange.

Our Structural Department at Stord is now looking for a Structural Engineer

What will you be doing?

The candidate we are looking for is a person with theoretical and practical knowledge of structure and understanding of Fabrication Engineering with relevant education and experience from oil and gas industry. As a Structural Engineer, you will be part of a committed team working on various project tasks. You will receive training in our systems and be assigned a mentor to support your development.

  • Creating fabrication drawings in a 3D model using Aveva E3D.
  • Producing detailed fabrication drawings for construction.
  • Adding welding and other relevant information to the 3D model in E3D.
  • Verifying design engineering deliveries for fabrication engineering.
  • Opportunity to take on leadership roles such as Discipline Lead, Group Lead, or Engineer, depending on your ambitions and project workload.

We think you should have:

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Higher university degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of structural and fabrication engineering. Newly graduated candidates without practical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Interest and experience in 3D/2D CAD systems, preferably Aveva E3D.
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate during project phases as needed.
