Our yard at Verdal is now looking for a IWE Welding engineer.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible in project.
  • Ensure that welding documentation is in accordance with the governing documents, applicable contract and requirements.
  • Create and administrate welding procedures (pWPS / WPS / WPQR / WPT) and production tests.
  • Revise welding procedures specifications (WPS) and welding procedure qualification records (WPQR) from sub-contractors.
  • Qualify and document welding procedure qualification records / production tests (WPQR / WPT)
  • Site-inspection and follow up welding and material handling at Subcontractors Site.

We think you should have:

Competence:

Higher technical education, master, bachelor or equivalent in the field of materials science and/or welding technology.

Minimum 5 years' experience from the offshore/workshop industry.

Formal approval as IWE with minimum 3 years’ experience as International Welding Engineer.

Good knowledge of NDT

Proficient in written and spoken Norwegian and English

Familiar and well known within the ISO, NORSOK, DNV and ASME standards
