Aker Solutions Donates NOK 200,000 to Norwegian Refugee Council’s Humanitarian Efforts

Aker Solutions is making a special Christmas time contribution of NOK 200,000 to the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) to support their work for refugees in Ukraine and in Europe.

NRC is scaling up efforts inside Ukraine and in neighboring countries to meet the growing needs for aid for people who have been forced to flee. Aker Solutions’ special Christmas contribution is a response to NRC’s recently launched campaign, “Give a home for Christmas”, which is aimed at providing safety, belonging and hope to people fleeing war.

Hilde Karlsen and Tommy Angeltveit, group union representatives at Aker Solutions, said it feels meaningful and relevant to contribute collectively to NRC’s humanitarian effort. “NRC is among the charitable organizations on the ground in conflict areas that can provide the essentials people need to survive,” Karlsen said.

“Health and safety are at our core as a company, and with a backdrop of also an energy crisis facing the people in Ukraine this winter, the NRC’s Christmas campaign resonates with our purpose as a company,” said CEO of Aker Solutions, Kjetel Digre.
