Constructability Engine – Detecting Issues with Just One Click

When designing a topside, there are several rules regarding constructability that must be checked to improve construction friendly design. The constructability engine is a plug-in module within the 3D CAD software that allows near real-time collaboration from all major area disciplines.
The constructability engine will:
- improve yard productivity
- improve execution schedule
- Reduce manhours in construction, quality checking, data-validation and correcting mistakes
- Reduce late changes
- Increase design quality

The Constructability Engine is a key application in Aker Solutions overall digitalization project N-Digi, designed to radically improve field developments. The software is developed in cooperation with Akers’ software company Aize.
