Our commitment to sustainability includes our external operations, such as those related to our suppliers and customers, as well as our internal operations. We are committed to engaging only with suppliers who meet our expectations.

Aker Solutions has strong focus on sustainability across all our operations, and expects its suppliers to meet the same high standards. Sustainable sourcing starts with setting the expectations for our suppliers. Aker Solutions looks for and works with suppliers and subcontractors who act responsibly within ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). This does and will continue to include reviewing human and labor rights practices, anti-corruption and climate-related risks in the total supply chain.

It is our responsibility to look at our supply chain with the goal of strengthening our programs and guidelines around all topics pertaining to ESG and Sustainability. Because of this, reporting on emissions reduction targets will be one of the key requirements for our suppliers and subcontractors in the future.

Approved Vendor List

Aker Solutions’ supplier base is qualified and monitored through our Approved Vendor List (AVL). Compliance with our requirements is assessed through process and / or technical audits or due diligence analyses. A chosen supplier, direct or indirect, is expected to meet certain key requirements and fully embrace our ethical standards.

AVL’s rigorous qualification, monitoring and performance evaluation process to measure and predict supplier performance is supported by a fact and risk-based approach to supplier selection and development. The qualification requirements can be increased or decreased depending on the complexity of the product or service required and, on the country, or location of the supplier.
