Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Building a strong inclusive culture is foundational to our success as a company, and to bring out the best in everyone. Inclusion is our ability to embrace all employees and enable everyone to make meaningful contributions and thrive. Regardless of who we are, and where we come from. It's the result of our everyday actions, as leaders and colleagues.

Our people are at the heart of what we do and who we are as a company. Our goal is to make Aker Solutions a place where everyone can perform at their best by creating opportunities for all. 

To achieve this, we seek to increase the diversity of our workforce and build a strong inclusive culture where our employees feel they can bring their full self to work. We want to celebrate the differences our colleagues bring, seeing diversity as a source of creativity, innovation, and as a key competitive advantage.

Aker Solutions’ DEI strategy is aligned with and supported by our code of conduct, people policy, attitudes and leadership practices. For the upcoming years, we have three main DEI priorities; Inclusion, Gender and Disabilities/Neurodiversity. This is also reflected in our Annual Report, read more about it here. 

Diversity is about who is represented in our workforce, the range of visible and invisible differences between us, including backgrounds and identities. 

Equity is about fair treatment for everyone and differs from equality in that individual adjustments are necessary to create that fairness. 

Inclusion refers to the experience of being included and our collective ability to embrace all employees, enabling everyone to make meaningful contributions.
