Life Cycle UK is now supporting a 3-year Frame Agreement that covers primarily Maintenance and Modification at Equinor’s offshore platforms Heidrun, Njord A and B, Asgard A and B, Troll A, B and C, Heimdal, and Johan Sverdrup in the North Sea Norwegian sector, as well as the onshore facility at Tjeldbergodden (Norway) and is looking for engineering and design discipline Project personnel to join us.

We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.

What will you be doing?

  • Carry out engineering tasks in a professional manner that ensures technical quality and safety integrity is maintained, whilst performing all duties in a highly competent and efficient manner.
  • Ensure project deliverables are prepared according to Aker Solutions procedures, systems, and tools.
  • Preparation of discipline deliverables for input to studies and project estimation.
  • Design development of new / replacement pipe systems utilizing central project applications including 3D modelling tools, laser scan data and offshore surveys.
  • Preparation of discipline deliverables needed for onshore prefab and offshore installation.
  • Valve selection and technical procurement / package management.
  • Piping engineering input to establish pipe class requirements, stress analysis of critical lines, load calculations for pipe supports, etc.
  • Ensure delivery according to schedule, within budget and in accordance with company QA/QC procedures.
  • Liaison with client project and facilities engineering to develop and execute modification project scopes of work

We think you should have:

  • HNC/HND level or University Piping Engineering degree or relevant education with 5 to 7 years of experience in front end studies, FEED and/or EPCI projects from energy sector.
  • Track record in Piping Engineer role(s) from a minimum of one FEED, E&P or EPC project.
  • Broad competency within piping work processes.
  • Familiar with the aspects of Pipe Stress Analysis, and engineering of Pipe Support design.
  • Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID reviews.
  • Solution oriented with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards preferred but not essential.
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude.
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
