Tranby Technology Centre – Aker Solutions’ most sophisticated production and service centre – is strategically located at Tranby in Lier municipality, a short distance from the port of Drammen With 24,000 m2 workshop, office space for 650+ employees and first-class warehouse facilities, we are a world leader in engineering services, CNC machining, all types of welding, surface treatment, assembly and testing activities.

Aker Solutions Power Solutions segment in Tranby is now looking for a HSSE, Quality, Improvement & Climate Action Manager

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and enforce HSSE policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
  • ​Lead the segment’s quality assurance programs to ensure product and service excellence.
  • ​Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments, fostering innovation and efficiency.
  • ​Formulate and implement strategies for carbon footprint reduction and sustainable practices.
  • ​Own the segment’s performance process related to objectives, key results and KPIs
  • ​Conduct risk assessments, audits, and training sessions to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • ​Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSSE and quality objectives into business operations.
  • ​Manage incident investigations and reporting, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • ​Monitor and report on the effectiveness of HSSE and quality systems, providing insights to senior management.
  • ​Stay abreast of emerging trends in climate action and recommend proactive measures to maintain industry leadership

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • ​Professional certifications in HSSE and quality management systems.
  • ​Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • ​Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and quality standards.
  • ​Proven track record in leading improvement projects and driving change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
