Our Supply Chain department handles direct procurement and logistics activities for projects in the segments New Build and New Energies. Typical projects include topsides, floaters, carbon capture and storage facilities, wind turbine foundations and offshore converter stations for wind turbine parks.
We are now looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator who wants to join our team and strengthen our capabilities in our Fornebu, Norway offices.
What will you be doing?
- Lead transport/logistics planning and execution activities
- Negotiate, control, and ensure progress reporting on contracts for logistics activities
- Ensure that all logistics activities are performed according to established procedures, guidelines and business policy
- Safeguard timely deliveries and correct quality in accordance with agreed budget and schedule
- Lead and develop logistics teams within projects ensuring technical and commercial awareness in the procurement processes
- Prepare and develop logistics strategies for project execution
- Report and manage risk associated with logistics operations
- Develop and maintain supplier relations
- Undertake necessary travel as required
We think you should have:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least six years of experience within project logistics and supply chain management. Relevant experience may serve as a substitute for a formal higher education degree
- Experience with coordinating transport of large volumes of bulk material, equipment and sections shipments
- Proficient knowledge of customs clearance procedures, especially relating to oil and gas projects
- A holistic understanding across multiple disciplines with strong commercial skills
- An effective team-player with excellent communication and presentation skills
- A strong work ethic, proactive attitude and an innovative, creative mindset
