Tranby Technology Centre – Aker Solutions’ most sophisticated production and service centre – is strategically located at Tranby in Lier municipality, a short distance from the port of Drammen With 24,000 m2 workshop, office space for 650+ employees and first-class warehouse facilities, we are a world leader in engineering services, CNC machining, all types of welding, surface treatment, assembly and testing activities.

Tranby Technology Centre is greatly positioned for further growth, and as such, we are lookng for a person that can lead the effort of filling up current additional capacity short-term, as well as establish new business opportunities and revenue intermediate- to long-term.

Aker Solutions’ Power Solutions segment in Tranby is now looking for a Business Development and Strategic Sales Manager

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and implement strategies that will generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing and forecast sales revenue
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, including successful negotiation of frame agreements with businesses in key markets such as oil and gas, renewables (carbon capture, hydropower, hydrogen and offshore wind), power distribution, defense and SMR
  • Represent Aker Solutions and TTC in relevant road shows, conventions and other arenas that generate leads and new connections
  • Coordinate with the client’s technical team to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions
  • Internal collaboration and stakeholder management to ensure a make/buy strategy enabling constant flow of work for our Manufacturing Centre

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business
  • Proven work experience as business development manager, strategic sales manager, sales executive or relevant role
  • Proven sales track record
  • Broad commercial understanding
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and surface treatment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
