Aker Group and World Economic Forum Launch Technology Centre for Ocean and Environment

Aker Solutions is supporting the establishment of a Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Norway (C4IR Norway), which was announced today by the Aker group and the World Economic Forum (WEF).

"Our ambition is to use our knowledge and technology to develop a sustainable energy future," said Aker Solutions CEO Luis Araujo. "Collaboration and new partnerships are integral to this strategy, and we look forward to supporting the new technology centre where we can share knowledge and develop new sustainable solutions for the ocean economy."

Aker Solutions are involved in a broad range of activities that support a sustainable energy future, including: offshore floating wind, zero emission shipping concepts, offshore fish farms, as well as reduced emissions from offshore oil and gas exploration and production through electrification, carbon capture and energy optimization.

A press conference for the launch of the C4IR Norway will take place on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 13:15-13:45 EDT at the World Economic Forum Sustainable Development Impact Summit in New York.
