Our Team in London, provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing projects wihtin the oil and gas field, HVDC,  renewables and carbon capture developments

We are currenlty looking for a Specialist Quantity Surveyor to strengthen the team and support current and new projects in the London office

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Monitor and consolidate overall quantity forecasts and quantity updates, including input to project control monthly and baseline process. Keep special focus on forecasts and present new trends when identified.
  • Calculation of revenue basis for tenders and projects
  • Establishment and maintenance of experience data
  • Improvement of Aker Solutions competitive position through the analysis of the experience data
  • Benchmarking and quality assurance of the norms and quantities
  • Development of estimating tools
  • Support Business management processes in tenders and projects
  • Prepare and present information to project management.
  • Assistance to other estimation activities within the department
  • Estimate impact of construction changes

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor/Masters degree. A technical background from skilled workers combined with experience from production and/or economical education is also an option
  • Good knowledge of industrial technical trades, familiar with contract interpretations
  • Experience from project control or construction management
  • Knowledge to software tools like MS excel, PowerPoint and database tools
  • Structured and analytical mindset
  • Collaborative attitude, shares expertise and knowledge
  • High quality standards, and works in an efficient, systematic, methodical and orderly way
  • The ability to adapt well to changes
  • Proactive and curious mindset
