Our  Specialist Asset Integrity Maintenance  (AIM)  team in Aberdeen are looking for a Principal Integrity Engineer, to strengthen the team and support current and future projects, you will be based  at the AIBP offices in Dyce, Aberdeen.  

What will you be doing?

Whilst specialising in Pressure Systems Analysis, the engineer will also be involved in the broader Engineering tasks undertaken by AIM and may also be asked to assist temporarily as an analysis specialist on project work in other parts of Brownfield, such as on studies/projects or Greenfield design projects. Working under the direction of a Technical Manager and will supervise Discipline engineers. Expected to demonstrate an ability to manage the workload for which they are responsible, within agreed scopes, timescales and budgets.

Responsible for the delivery and performance relating to all integrity engineering, inspection engineering and related support in the development of contract programs, policies, procedures and management/ implementation of integrity change for a given set of assets.

The role, although forward facing will also perform a daily technical function in the form of pressure systems technical delivery which will allow a personal appreciation of the team challenges. The candidates will have strong knowledge of pressure system but also an appreciation of pipelines and structures and how the three interact and depend on the corrosion engineering function.

The role requires technical management skills allowing key allocation of work tasks, remote supervision and support to the hub resources allocated and be able to direct personnel and tasks in a time optimized manner.

It is key that this role understands and communicates the key operational drivers of the asset hub in terms of safety, operational demands and business directive to ensure the support given matches the demand at all time.

We think you should have:

Essential:

Degree level in Engineering Discipline

Demonstrable relevant experience in a team lead role

Demonstrable relevant experience in a client facing role

Demonstrable relevant experience in pipe stress analysis

Demonstrable relevant experience in fitness for service assessment (all levels)

Demonstrable relevant experience in Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII)

Presentation and meeting skills.

Good communicator at all levels within the organisation and with external clients.

Must be a ‘team player’

Preferred:

Chartership in Engineering Discipline
