Our office in Bergen/Sandsli is now looking for a Senior Engineer PRE/Valves.

What will you be doing?

​​​​​​As a Package Responsible Engineer for valves, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of valve systems within engineering packages. This role involves coordinating the selection, procurement, design integration, testing, and documentation of valves in alignment with project requirements. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams which includes Buyers(Internal), clients, suppliers, sub suppliers, prefabrication and installation sites. PRE ensures compliance with industry standards, and address any engineering challenges to deliver high-quality valve solutions within the specified project timeline.

  • Package responsible engineer for valve packages
  • Ensure discipline deliverables to the right detail level for the study class, with feasible technical solutions in line with client and authority requirement.
  • Cooperate with other disciplines, client and vendors to ensure all aspects are covered.
  • Prepare technical requisitions and datasheets, sketches, drawings, indexes
  • Prepare input to studies, including technical philosophy documents
  • Perform technical evaluation of supplier quotations, including approval of supplier documentation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes and standards for supplier’s scope of work
  • Perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages (FAT)
  • Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests
  • Work together with a team of valve engineers in Bergen

We think you should have:

  • Bachelors- or master’s degree within technical disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from the oil & gas industry
  • Knowledge and experience within the piping and instrument discipline in general and valves in particular
  • Knowledge of PSV's, actuated on/off valves (Inclusive ESD and PSD) and control valves
  • Knowledge of relevant standards within Topside systems
  • Effective communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Drive to take initiative and ownership of product related activities
  • Have excellent teamwork and cooperation skills
  • Enjoy a high paced work environment and be flexible
