Application Engineering (Structure, Umbilical, Tie-in and Tooling), based in Tranby is responsible for delivering detailed engineering solutions for subsea structures, umbilicals, connection systems and intervention tools into our projects. The team consists of 90 skilled engineers.

We are now looking for a Senior Lead Engineer within Structures and Manifolds who can strengthen our team

Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Senior Lead Engineer shall be responsible for and manage all technical activities in the Structural Work Package for all work within our Subsea Alliance with AkerBP and Subsea7. This position will be the bridging point between all projects in the Subsea Alliance and our base organisation. Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures synergies between projects and be a driving force to offer standardised solutions for all Subsea Alliance projects
  • Plan and execute projects according to Subsea Alliance Execution Manual
  • Support the Technical Lead and Project Manager in providing engineering knowledge and expertise for successful delivery
  • Actively engage in the project risk assessment and mitigation processes
  • Actively engage in knowledge sharing, capture of Lessons Learned and application of Engineering Standards. Actively promote and use the Achievement register
  • Take ownership of manpower projection planning and report change requirements
  • Report progress, follow-up cost and man-hours
  • Participate in Design Reviews
  • Be compliant with to regulations for health, safety and environment

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  • Theoretical education as B.Sc in relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience with products for subsea structures and manifolds
  • Experience with system layout is mandatory
  • Be independent, show initiative and be structured in his/her daily work
  • Fluent English written and oral
  • Good communication skills
  • Keen to gain knowledge and constantly develop own skills
  • Willing to commute between Subsea Alliance locations and home base, minimum 3 days per week in Stavanger
